District Vision

The Mayville School District fully believes that information and technology offers very powerful learning opportunities for our students, the staff and our community. In a very real sense technology has revolutionized education by enhancing creativity, allowing numerous avenues for communication, forces one to think and helps with the decision-making process if used properly and selectively. But in order to be successful in an information-based world, it is critical that a student develop competencies in the use and application of any given technology. Skills that will be promoted include higher level thinking, personal creativity, communication and responsible independent decision-making. To assist in this lofty goal the School District of Mayville will strive to assist all staff and students in order that they may be successful in a technology rich, information based society.

1:1 Initiative

The Mayville School District 1:1 initiative is now district wide all students have access to a personal school issued device.  Students are issued a chromebook at the start of their freshman year or upon enrollment in the district.

A damage policy is in place for non-warranty repairs.  There is a maximum $50 fee for any repairs not covered by warranty.  If a student breaks the screen, the computer would be turned in with a $50 payment, the student will be given a loaner to use while theirs is being repaired.  If the repair is under $50 then you will only be charged for the cost of the repair.

Every student needs to have a Responsibilities Contract on file before being issued a computer.

Devices are turned in at the end of the senior year.  If a student has damages or has lost the device then charges will be incurred.  The replacement cost is $50 and repairs are charged at the cost of the repair up to a maximum of $50.
