Norb officially joined our Board of Education in the spring of 1995. He would have celebrated his 30th consecutive year as a Board member this spring. He spent many hours on our courts as a basketball referee, was an avid supporter of Mayville Athletics and an active member of our Athletic Hall of Fame board for more than a decade.

As a Mayville alumni, Norb was beyond proud of our students, staff, and schools.  He considered it a privilege to serve on the Board of Education with his fellow Board members that together have completed well over a century in years of service.  He will surely be missed not only for his commitment to Mayville Schools, but also the community. 

The Dornfeldt family - wife Jean, son E.J. and family, as well as extended family - were present at the Board of Education meeting on Monday, October 7th, to accept a service award on his behalf presented by the Wisconsin Education of School Boards and the district.
