Reminder! GREAT scholarship opportunity for students entering their junior/senior years of college! The TED BACHHUBER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP is available to MHS grads who did not receive a Grace Bachhuber scholarship. Students must be going into their junior or senior year of a baccalaureate degree program at a college or university. A student pursuing a degree in business, engineering, or technology, as related to business will be given priority consideration. Applicants must have/maintain a 2.5 or better cumulative grade point average. The scholarship is in the amount of $7,000/year for up to a two-year period of time for a baccalaureate degree. A scholarship application form is available in the SCHOLARSHIPS link to the Guidance/Pupil Services section of Mayville High School’s web page (www.mayvilleschools.com). One final detail was added to our Playground recognition sign! With the help of Sonny Schaefer, grandfather of two Mayville cardinals, the painted tiles have been installed on the back of the recognition sign. These hand-painted tiles were completed by students and their family members as part of a playground fundraiser. The Mayville Athletic Department will be honoring the 1992 and 1993 Girls Cross Country teams who were the first girls teams to win State Championships for Mayville High School! The teams will be honored at halftime of the Mayville Football game on Friday, August 25th. Following the game, there will be a social at the Mayville Golf Course. All family and friends of these teams are welcome! On Saturday, August 26th, the Mayville Athletic Booster Club will also recognize the teams at the 26th Annual Booster Club Golf Outing.
