Awesome news, Mayville Cardinals! Our mattress fundraiser last month was a success! We raised a total of $7,500 in ONE DAY! $7,075 will be added to our playground fund and $425 went back to 12 of our students for personal referrals! WAY TO GO! Congratulations to Thalia M. and Keana F. for their amazing performances at the State FFA Convention held at the Alliant Energy Exhibition Hall earlier this week! These FFA members were selected to the Wisconsin FFA Honors Band and performed at the 92nd Wisconsin FFA State Convention. Mr. Cooney (center) helped our students every step of the way, from helping prepare and record their audition recordings to finding his way to Madison to cheer them on during their last performance of the convention. Our summer meals delivery schedule will change slightly for the week of July 5-9th. In observance of Independence Day our Food Service team is not working on Monday, July 5th, so meals will be delivered Tuesday, July 6th and Thursday, July 8th. MMS 3rd graders have been working on their frisbee throwing skills with Mrs. Persha! Today they completed a mini disc golf course. They also played some bean bag toss and bocce ball...look out summer, here they come! #mayvillecardinals #mayvilleschools #cardinalpride
MMS 8th graders recently learned hands-on about some of the dangers of drinking alcohol. Students attempted everyday tasks while wearing "drunk goggles". One of the stations included driving a pedal cart through a course that Mrs. Persha set up in the gym. Students had a great time and hopefully learned some valuable life lessons!
